revilla
Looking for one of the metal guard / guide things that secures and protects the K Series engine loom where it passes across the front of the block under the crank pulley. Anyone got an old one kicking around?
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 14, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted September 14, 2014 Don't bother, just secure it in place using a couple of cable ties through the holes in the oil pump Stu.
revilla
Whilst I can see that is a possibility, I would like to do it "properly" especially as this is a loom I'm building for somebody else. I think the "shoe" gives the loom some added mechanical protection from stones and similar road debris as it skirts across the lowest point of the front of the engine. So thank you for the suggestion, but in this instance I'm still looking ...

revilla
In hard steel? Even if it was suitable for 3D printing, the effort of getting it all set up sounds like a lot to go through for something I'll be able to get from any old Rover in a scrapyard for a couple of quid - I just wondered if anyone on here happened to have one before I went digging
Support Team c7trp Posted September 15, 2014 Support Team Share Posted September 15, 2014 I have one on an old VVC loom. I think you'll still have my email addy from the alternator bolt - send me your address and I'll chop it out at the weekend and post it to you
