Cookie Monster
So, if I want to remove it all, how much of a hassle is it? How much aggro to put back in if I need to put the screen on?
OliverSedlacek
It's a pain, because unless you take the scuttle off, you'll be upside down with your Head down the foot well. Allow 2 hours for your first go, 1 hour with practice.

Area Representative Paul Richards Posted September 14, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted September 14, 2014 If you want to switch between aero and full screen just leave the wiper mechanism and motor in place and simply remove the arms/blades. Removing wiper motor etc. is a major hassle and involves removal of scuttle.
Cookie Monster
I'm already aero -was looking to save a bit of weight but hoping it might be easy......clearly not
Drumster
Hi Phil, Way back in the day when I went aero I successfully removed the complete wiper mechanism without removing the scuttle and don't remember any real problems, a bit awkward but fairly easy really.... myothercarsa2cv
My biggest problem was all the cable ties - didn't trust myself to get them all without damaging the loom it was strapped to. Drilled out the rivets and replaced with rivnuts at the same time. Nice job if I may say do myself 😬

Cookie Monster
Phil You might not be far wrong......but an army marches on its stomach & I'm not eating lettuce three times a day However it all counts you know & I want to be in class 3 subject to some rule changes New brakes, cf rear wings, stickier tyres & a few pounds here & there all counts but it does cross 4 excuses off the list for reasons for posting poor times! Still if I was serious I'd be selling my car for a different one like somebody I could mention 😬
