Dave B
Having read in other threads that a lambda sensor is better placed after the collector, I have a question. My lambda is currently in 4th primary. Being in Spain I must have the cat on at all times. So I don't have a cat bypass pipe, wondered if it is feasible to mount a boss into the conical end of the cat? Dave B
Nigel Riches
Dave, 80+ views and no replies, not like BC. I posted a similar question a few days ago, did you have a look at that thread? Some of the responses I got had links to lambda probe Web pages, detailing position for probe installation, and other useful stuff. Sounds like you have the same type exhaust I have, I did consider using a probe, but flagged it away as in the "too hard basket", but I might come back to it later. Fortunately in clean, green NZ, cat's aren't required on old cars like my 1982 Caterham :-) Regards, Nigel.
Dave B
Yes Nigel, it was your thread that prompted my question. Don't really want to start hacking the cat unless it is a viable solution. Cheers Dave B
peter clarke
Should use a cat in Belgium. When in place the lambs boss is in the conical part just before the cat so it response to all 4 cylinders. A simple drill a hole and weld a boss.
