terryp
This has been up for sale for a while and too be honest I have been a little tempted having missed out on the chance of an S4 a few years ago and to be in the market for another project. The thing is it seems a lot of money especially with a Twin Cam with Strombergs engine (which would not have been original) What does everyone think? I know you now pay a premium to restore a car but this seems to be a little ridiculous when you can probably pick up a working car for £12 to 16K Click here for advert
Lee Fowler
The later Twin Cams did have Strombergs as standard. Lee
simonpa
The price does look 'optimistic' - probably just seeing if they get lucky. The description appears deliberately vague, especially wrt the chassis, particularly when the company blurb in the ad says they want anything Lotus, including 'basket cases'. Make me think there is much more to do than is economical.
David Lynch
Half that and be prepared to spend a lot of time and money sourcing, making or commissioning some of the rare bits !!! Money no object I'd love one as part of an S1 to SV set 😬

Myles
I love the way the engine is held in with string... ...presumably tie-wraps weren't that widespread when it went to ground... 😬
I reply to every thread
It might be worth £10K in a restored condition. It'll probably cost around 6K to get it there. £8K is stupid as demonstrated by the fact it's hung around
