Installing Powerflex bushes

Help from anyone who has installed Powerflex bushes

I have received a set of Powerflex bushes for the rear suspension of my live axle .

The query I have is with the A frame front bush and the radius arm rear (large) bush.

According to Powerflex these are the same bush (ref. PF8-103), although the old radius arm bush is about 1cm smaller than the A frame bush. Does the radius arm bush need to be cut down so that it can fit properly?

Also with the Powerflex A frame bush the stainless steel insert is a lot shorter than the 2 ‘top hat’ polyurethane covers – so the suspension bolts now squash the polyurethane outer covers and do not tighten against the steel insert, is this correct?

Many thanks for any help.

(Have phoned Demon Tweeks and Powerflex but all their support staff are at the motor racing show – The Caterham is currently in bits all over the garage not looking at all like a car going to Silverstone in March ! )

*confused*

The A frame bushes sound about right. The inset does not reach all the way through on my de-dion except when I placed the washers in and then tightened the nut / bolt it compressed the bushes and now fits perfectly. I had much trouble in sourcing the correct parts. Get the caterham part number and compare on the powerflex web site. There is a comprehensive list of OE P/N against the Powerflex P/N.

Regards,

Martin
