Stationary M25 Traveller
Good morning all Anyone have experience of an auto electrical centre in NW Kent (preferably) ? I have removed my Magneton 9141-380 starter from the car, and need a quick overhaul of it. Lots going on with the Seven in the next month (to put it mildly !) AdamQ
Morning! Not exactly NW Kent but Curds in Tunbridge Wells have been going for years and have an excellent reputation. Regards, Adam
Ian Macquarie
I've used T.A. Spares at 6, Ordnance Street, Chatham (01634 813355) recently. He was "old school", seemed to know what was what and specialises in Starter motors and alternators. He was happy to supply an exchange unit or refurbish mine (for a X/Flow). - I think it was about £69 either way. Regards Ian
Stationary M25 Traveller
Thanks both. I had found TAS on Google. Looked promising. Phone calls tomorrow.
rgrigsby
Brise are in Ebbsfleet, they certainly sell starter motors and have looked at a few for me when they've gone pop. Probably won't be cheap though.

Stationary M25 Traveller
Went to TA Spares next to Chatham railway station ... as it suited my hospital drives. Top marks ... same (half) day service To my surprise the brushes and commutator were apparently 'like new'. New solenoid and bearings fitted If you go there ..... drive round to the back door off Fort Pitt Street. There is no parking out the front. Martin J
Is the car a runner Ian? May see you at Brands later.
Stationary M25 Traveller
Little chance of that. Still marooned at Medway Maritime hospital waiting for clients to escape ! Starter not refitted yet. I was very pleased to be able to remove it without taking any exhaust primaries off Edited by - SM25T on 3 Sep 2014 17:36:
