Yep that's the lowest point under the car .....I took fresh photos on a flat surface and the can was much closer to being able to get under the car but not quite... So if I have adjustable springs - how do the settings look to you ? And what is the procedure to adjust if I can increase ride height ??
SBD762
Expecting also to get shot down in flames here,,,,,,, but ,,,, and I am with Chris956 Surely this is not issue of sump height etc etc. It is about a driving skill. You have already said you take it very careful. That's the best start Next, either go over diagonally placing one of your front wheels on the hump. Or go over straight , again with only one wheel on the hump. Or , am I missing a point here, is this a "particular" type of hump?

A_redstone
Thanks all I will look into the front spring adjustment to raise ride height... How will that effect driving performance and how do I ensure accurate balance for both wheels ?
Stationary M25 Traveller
Crudely ... with a steel tape measure. Worked for me. Accurately .... with scales under each wheel. Edited by - SM25T on 1 Sep 2014 22:10:
keybaud
Going across at an angle and then straightening up as you ride over the bump or putting your wheels on the curb, if there is one, are two other options.
Mrp
Sorry I'm not trying to highjack this thread but it is a subject that has concerned me for a while. What is the typical sump to ground clearance on a Sigma engined car with wide track Thank you Mrp
FramerateUK
My Sigma has about 7cm clearance with the 13" CR500 fitted (6x13 all round). With the 15" it gives me another 1.5cm of so of clearance, which makes quite a difference!
Member Jonathan Kay Posted September 2, 2014 Member Share Posted September 2, 2014 The diameter of a Coke can is about 66mm. Jonathan
Juju
May sound daft but have you checked your tyre pressures recently? My 7 was grounding. I checked the tyres and they were (very) low. I gave them some air and no more grounding.
Mrp
Did the can test last night with Kronenberg can, also 66mm, but still interested to hear some other Sigma clearances. Mrp

TomB
Alternative/ additional ride height can be gained by fitting 70 profile tyres. The CR500 are 55 profile. I had to do this as Mrs B wouldn't accept that speed humps were a reason not to buy our house!
