Clicking Noise

I have a clicking noise when in motion, sounds from the driver's seat to be coming from nearside rear.

2001 1.6 Sigma Roadsport SV. Oops, typo, should read 2011!

Noise is a little like when we used to attach card to the bike frame with a clothes peg and have it clicking in the spokes.

Seems to be there as soon as in motion with frequency increasing with speed but does not change in frequency when changing gear.

By time I get up to 50mph can no longer hear it but that is due to it being drowned out.

Have checked to see if anything is loose around the nearside rear wheel but can't find anything obvious.

Any ideas anyone?

I find it really hard to locate the sources of noises on the 7. I'd get someone else to listen and point (or swap seats) and widen the areas you're inspecting. Take the wheels off and have a good look at the discs.

The handbrake cables often slap other bits, but not with the effect that you've described.
