El capitan Posted August 23, 2014 Share Posted August 23, 2014 I'm hoping someone can help. I have just limped back into the uk having had a blow out in France. Unfortunately the only tyre I could get out there was a larger profile so I am in desperate need of a CR500 175 55 R13. I have made it to Cobham (SW of London) but need to get to Bournemouth today and then Yorkshire tomorrow! Does anyone know where I can get hold of a tyre new or used?!? The Avon site has a list of dealers but their depot in Melksham appears to be closed at weekends. This thread suggests Richard Young might be able to help. If it would help to drop the car near Oxford while you find a tyre please ask: we can store it off the road. We're 10 minutes from Junction 7 and there are some car hire depots nearby. El capitan Posted August 23, 2014 Author Share Posted August 23, 2014 Thanks for your comments. Caterham unable to help as Dartford shut until Tuesday and Caterham South have no tyres. I'm in Gomshall which is not far from you on the A25 between Guildford and Dorking.They've been off the car for a couple of years but as far as I know they're ok.
