rgrigsby
Due to a small logistical mess up I find myself with a car and wheels but no tyres in time for the August Curborough sprint. Mel hasn't got any supersoft Kumho's in stock. I don't suppose anyone has a spare set of class 5 size wheels/tyres I could borrow in exchange for some beer tokens? ( I realise this is highly unlikely... but I thought I might as well ask).
CaterBram
I think Dave Wingfield might have a set of Kumho supersofts available, might be worth giving hin a ring on 07763 246268
robmar
I have some hard compounds on wheels you can use, am sure Shaun will be happy for you to use them only 4 years old as well, barely used 😬 rob
rgrigsby
😬 I've got a set of hard compound on wheels I can use, not sure I fancy Paddock Bend on a cold set of hard compound front tyres though 😳
Support Team Shaun_E Posted July 24, 2014 Support Team Share Posted July 24, 2014 I've heard that Avon CR322 as used by the Academy are now the tyre of choice :-) Some fronts for sale here.
Stuart Miller 7
Rob, You are more than welcome to use a set of my Barnby's with ZZR - they'll be 2012 A24 compound 185 front / 215 rear. I've got a spare set of nuts you can have (I normally carry these just in case someone forgets to attach their front wheels at a hillclimb 😬) I'll bring them with anyway. rgrigsby
Thanks Stuart, I seem to remember when I tried these before they don't fit under my CSR lowered wheel arches but it might be worth a go.
Mark Durrant
Rob If you normally run the 215 Kumho on the front the 185 ZZR will fit under the stay.
rgrigsby
Ahh ok thanks Mark, maybe is was a 215 front that I tried.
