Engine first start.....immobiliser

Almost done... quite a lot of little things, rear lights, weather gear, some wire tidying, boot cover, etc. Caterham are collecting on 11th August for PBC - earliest date that worked as I am away for a holiday as well in between. IVA and then registration so guess it will be a little while until I am on the road...

Jonathan:

I have taken your 'hint' and bought one of the multimeters....it's on its way!

My only problem is that I know squat about electrics (apart from you get sparks when it goes wrong).

Is there anywhere you can point me to learn an elegant sufficiency without waste to enable me to fiddle with my Caterham?

Thanks,

Tim. *biggrin*

1 Some books discussed here.

2 You'll only use a few of the functions on a car: continuity, resistance, voltage. NB Continuity may be there even though there's a poor connection somewhere. Even with that reservation I still find audible continuity testing saves time.

Or right, depending...

4 Also worth getting one of these in advance.
