Krismuss
Anyone use one of these mono wheels with the gap at the top? I know Fat Arnie runs one on his and suggested I check with my insurer to make sure it's not excluded. I was just about to order one then noticed the 'not road legal' on Momo's website in the specification for it! Just seems like an ideal option to stop obscuring the stack on my 7. Violet Elizabeth
I like mine, and it means I can see all the dials. The insurance issue is moot, as I wrote in the necro-thread. Road Legal ? Who knows, links to the regs please.
Krismuss
Thanks VE just wanted to make sure I wasn't alone in thinking they were a good idea! Chris
TomGaval
I just bought another Caterham and it has that wheel. Didn't think I'd like it but after my first session on track yesterday it didn't feel too bad. I think having the flappy paddles attached to it and 300+ hp took my mind off it. *eek* 😬 Tom
Violet Elizabeth
I know the Previously Corpulent One had an issue that may have been exacerbated by the open top wheel. But if a quick rack you don't really need to remove hands and potentially "grab air".
Drumster
Loved mine, until the aforementioned thread and also never had an issue with 'grabbing air'. Will probably go back one day if and when I change insurers.
