DJ.
No longer required due to purchase of a proper half hood I'm thinking of trying to make a half hood, but slightly different. It probably won't work, so I don't want to waste money on a prototype that is a failure. I would be grateful if anyone has an S3 full hood that they don't want. It doesn't matter if the windows are damaged, or press studs are missing. I would prefer the part that fits the screen and the main roof to be in waterproof condition. David Mirylees
Should work - unless you are really doing something radical! (that's how I made mine back in the early 80's and it's still fine today...)
DJ.
Thanks David, I was hoping there would be loads of unloved full hoods in lofts around the country
DJ.
I'll give this a bump, just in case someone keeps tripping over their hood in the loft and wants rid of it
Scottart
Duncan, found a spare hood in the garage, it's got rear zip up window. Bit of ( cigarette ?) damage to rear 1/4 light, otherwise good....send me you're email, I'll send you pics . Steve
DJ.
Hi Steve, thanks for that, but I ended up buying a Soft Bits half hood after talking to a chap who modified a full hood. I realised I was unlikely to make something good enough to be seen on my Seven I edited the first post to try and save peoples time, so sorry to waste yours, I should have made it clearer. Thanks again Duncan
