Myles
Hmm, I don't think anything is loose to the touch, but I can hear a fairly-consistent creak from the rear-end of my k-series car when pulling gently away. It's not a clear 'click' or clunk as would happen if a bush was worn, but I wonder if it is a sign of something going that way. Anyone had anything similar? It sounds like something tightening up under the application of torque. I'm guessing that braking unloads the torque - but probably does it while the car is still travelling too fast to hear it. Driveshaft boots etc remain in good condition and the recent mot didn't show any hub-bearing play for instance (I participate fully in the mots and use the time on the ramp to have a good go at finding loose bits). Member Jonathan Kay Posted July 8, 2014 Member Share Posted July 8, 2014 My left rear has always done this since first assembled in 1988. But I suppose a change might be more significant. Jonathan
