Krismuss Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 My new (2002) 7 has plenty of original carbon (nose and rear arches mainly, front are much newer) and it is very dull and dusty, even after a wipe you get black dust all over your hands! Now I quite prefer the matt look anyway so that's not a problem, though is there any recommended method for cleaning, rubbing down and perhaps sealing, though without going to a lacquer? The front arches are lacquered and shiny, and I'd prefer them not to be, can these be rubbed down at all? Finally, as a last report, is there any value in carbon arches that are less than perfect (I.e. A few scrapes, scratches and splits)? Just in case...
