rj
Hmm, I think I paid £350 for my first VHPD head. 700 for the second. What happened to the Vulcan head?
GF04RCE
*smile*All mine ..... My upgrade plans for GF04RCE have had to change as i am pooling cash for some new projects so selling all the fun bits.... The Head is the real jewel, I bought it from the liquidation sale at MG Rover Motorsport when they closed their doors. I will let the market decide what it is worth to someone but as someone who has been hunting for a VHPD engine for a while now with no joy, its rare, but will see... Mark w
I think the price is about right . I had one , paid £350 for it and sold it 3 or 4 years ago for £1100 . At the time I had two here chasing me for it .
GF04RCE
Thanks Mark for the reassurance on price....... David M
rj
Don't get me wrong. I'm not in doubt the price is right. Just a bit amused what has happened to the price. I have been offered 1k for the spare head I have, and have turned it down.
GF04RCE
I think the MG race series upped from 160 to 190's which has increased demand and Brown & Gammon apparently are having an impact. Its pure demand and rarity and what people are prepared to pay, in this case for a fresh unused head..... David M

Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 11, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted June 11, 2014 I did wonder whether to sell my new one before I fitted it 😳 Stu.
GF04RCE
I am starting to think the reason they are so rare is that so many people have them squirelled away for a rainy day's fetling.... David M
GF04RCE
Well it didn't sell for £1200 on ebay, so not sure what that sais about the current value of them, but will run another listing. If a Blat Chatter is interested i am sure i can agree a discount by the way David M
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 16, 2014 Leadership Team Share Posted June 16, 2014 That doesn't mean your pricing is wrong, it just means that last week there was nobody who wanted to buy it! Stu.
