Shoots U Sir Posted May 27, 2014 Share Posted May 27, 2014 The noisy (wailing banshee ) diff is out and has a 3.6 CW&P, as a road going 2009 R400 Duratech I'm looking to replace with same to hopefully appease my ears so has anyone got the above taking up space? Midlands based. Just to clarify it's 3.62 and I'll collect a whole diff for reasonable money/distance, cash waiting. Thanks Roy. revilla Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 If it gives you any confidence, I've bought literally hundreds of used car bits off eBay and I've only had one bad experience - and that was just someone who obviously forgot to put a reserve price and then made every possible excuse to refuse to sell it to me at the (admittedly ridiculously low) winning bid price. LesG Posted June 1, 2014 Share Posted June 1, 2014 I have the 3.6 crown wheel and pinion from the Ford viscous LSD I fitted to my car. I swapped the final drive from the original open diff for hill climbing/sprints etc., not because of noise issues. Let me know if you haven't got sorted yet.
