My bank holiday trackday on Monday with an R400 has just gone horribly wrong as the gearbox has just been buggered. Has anyone got a suitable 6 speed box I can borrow for the day for a reasonable fee? Or buy cheaply? Big ask I know, but if you don't ask, you don't get. 6speedmanual Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Peter, Sorry to hear your trackday is at risk. I was short of a seat recently and by asking on here was offered 3. A 6speed box is a big ask - higher value, time/effort to "borrow" from a car. Also as for trackday, increased levels of wear/potential issues/damage. It might be worth trying to buy one and asap sell your repaired box or swap and resell the "spare". Just offering this as an alternative as I don't see a flood of responses to your thread. There is one for sale on eBay now, but for a Duratec and I'm fairly sure the input shafts are different lengths. It was refreshed last week by Road and Race and is still there. There is an add in the For Sale section. I'm pretty sure he could do a small effort on the mentionned price.
