Replacement alternator

If you've got the time, then it's worth going along to Brise in person to make sure that you get exactly what you want - they have all sorts of electrical goodies, pulleys, mounting brackets lying around and seem to be quite happy putting together a solution to suit.

Judging by the weight of the alternators that DT have in their catalogue you can save 0.5 kgs or just a little more perhaps.

A replacement Valeo can be had for ~£60 and weighs 3.5kgs inc pulley and fan. The Brise ones.... ~£300 perhaps.

You pays your money....

As far as I can tell, the 93mm, 50amp alternators for sale in the DT catalogue are identical in size, shape and output to a Daihatsu Charade 1.0l alternator, which I use, and have used, for 3 years, without problems. As Steve says, 60-80 quid at your local electrical factors. It's a steal.............
