NickK123
Grateful for some assistance - for some reason the rubber Trip Recorder Reset Button on the speedo has pinged off the speedo. A spindle is now sticking out through the hole. I have found the Button in the cockpit but it is not immediately clear how it is meant to be fixed to the speedo (and any clears on how to affix same) Grateful for Blatchat assistance. Thanks in anticipation!

NickK123
Thanks Jonathan - but my button looks different. It is an older car and the button is like a tea cup and it looks like it should be stuck to the glass?

NickK123
Photo is a step too far as have no Flickr or similar acct. There is no rubber piece behind the glass. There is just a rubber cup, ie, the button. It looks like it was stuck onto the glass. The Speedo is marked Caterham and the car is now some 10 years old. Sorry I cannot offer more but it's as simple as that.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 15, 2014 Member Share Posted May 15, 2014 Does the teacup have a groove around it that might accept the edge of the hole in the face of the instrument with the dome/ closed end towards you? Jonathan
NickK123
No but its sides are not parallel, ie, could it sit behind the hole and protrude through or was it stuck on? That is the question Holmes!
