SUPERLIGHT91
ITG Megaflow JC40 element only wanted - new or used (but in good order), for a friend's throttle body - as his filter is showing signs of breaking down. with or without backplate (as he can use his existing) filer needed forPTP throttle bodies (Power Train Products) OK, I need a JC 40 filter (not a 50) 142 x 379 x 100 size wise! Original element (breaking down) can be seen here Edited by - Superlight91 on 7 May 2014 10:30:38 Edited by - Superlight91 on 7 May 2014 11:29:10 Edited by - Superlight91 on 7 May 2014 22:21:
I reply to every thread
Dont you need to specify the depth - I think JC50 is the backplate size?

I reply to every thread
I mentioned it because I have a used ITG filter for my 90mm rampipes (JC50)
SUPERLIGHT91
Thanks Mr Aves - appreciate the feedback, Chris is going to measure-up today and let me know. Anyone know any good value suppliers mail order of these filters?
TomB
I can give you a contact at ITG for one to be made to order if that would help. I had a new one made over winter for my old SLR/KV6 TB for which the air filter is no longer available.
SUPERLIGHT91
That would be handy too Tom thanks Chris might be wise to consider an air box for it, and integrate a filter to that. picture of the install is herehere and you can see where the foam is breaking down a bit. SUPERLIGHT91
... that way, if he goes air box fresh air could be ducted from the nose, as I don't think there is a cut out for the air filter in the bonnet and it might benefit form a it of a mod on this if you can't get the filters any more anyway. - we'll see how much ITG charge for a custom filter element first, before changing it all for something else. Mankee
Please double-check, but I think ITG's JC50 and Pipercross' PX600 share the same backplate. In that case, you can use a Pipercross box filter if it turns out cheaper than ITG. Here's one such source of PX600 filters: http://www.thepipercrossshop.co.uk/pipercross-px600-twin-carburettor-air-filters_p23378570.htm
SUPERLIGHT91
Excellent thanks I will get Chris to investigate. I am currently looking into whether they made a ducted air box for the Jenvy throttle bodies (I'm sure they did for the Elise). M
Mankee
As in the Bernard Scouse/Auto-Teknix box? http://www.auto-teknix.co.uk/Caterham.html
SUPERLIGHT91
Thanks that airbox is probably the way forward long-term and comes in red :) a bit more than just replacing the ITG filter element - but as that is £100+ these days, it could be an investment as replacement elements are only £35 or you can stick a cleanable cone filter on the end - neat. thanks Mankee - ideally need to find someone with a used one up for grabs :)
