Mr Locust
Looking at the wiring diagram for a current spec roadport kit (yes sad I know) there appears to be provision for a shift light in the tacho which doesn't get used with my std 1.6 eu3 engine. It is wired via the grey engine plug amongst other things. What triggers it in the higher engine spec models? Is the same device present in the eu3 controller? Can it be modded relatively easily to operate at say 6000-6500 rpm i.e. is there dipswitches in the tacho or something?
mav
for the shift light to work, you need an additional piece of cabling, and for the A/C to be programmed to switch on at your preferred shift limit. This is all done on the EU3 SS kit, and works fine. I do not believe this is provisioned for in the Std roadsport kit Regards, Martin
