Bonding/Gluing Adhesives

I am fitting an aluminium piece over my existing inside passenger side floor (the driver’s side was already done when I bought the car) A kind of second floor to hide the protruding diagonal chassis bar.

 

I’m told I should use Sikaflex 221, as it is a good bonding/gluing adhesive. It looks like this stuff is only available online having enquired locally at some hardware and motor part/sport shops.

 

Any thoughts?

What happens when for some reason you need to remove it?

If you are refering to an ally honeycomb section to bring the floor up level to the top of the diagional as per some race car have fitted 🤔 Then just pop rivit it in from underneath

It's no real hassle to me and I have no plan of taking it off.

 

I want the passenger floor level to match the already done drivers side and be able to use a floor mat, without a big bump across the middle or having to cut the mat in half.

 

I just wanted peoples thoughts on the bond/glue/adhesive really!
