Guest
Hi All. I have had my 7 now for several weeks and would like to take it to a track and get some driving guidance (riding shotgun and then trying it myself) so that I can enjoy it more on the road and better understand the handling and limits (responsibly of course). I am in North Yorkshire. The car doesn't have any FIA set up at all and I would prefer not to have to make any changes for the limited times that I intend to take to the track. Any ideas please? TomB
Airfield track day at Elvington, south east of York sounds like it could be a good place to start. Have a look through the websites of the main track day organisers like Bookatrack and Javelin.
Jonathan Kay
I can't tell how much you know already. Do you know about the ways that track days are often organised: "open pit lane" and "sessions"? Preparation of most 7s for a trackday is very simple and obvious. There's lots in the archives on first trackdays: I suggest you have a look round and come back with specific questions. The instructors have seen it all before: don't worry about that. :-) Jonathan Edited by - Jonathan Kay on 31 Mar 2014 16:41:
A10ROX
Croft is close to you and a good circuit Great for novice and even better for those more experienced The benefit is that it is flat, you have great visibility through the corners and it it a mature circuit
richy
Beware. Once you've tried it you'll be looking for an FIA Roll-bar! Richy
