AndyD
To replace the one that got run over by several buses after it fell off the back of the car after I filled up at the garage Edited by - AndyD on 17 Mar 2014 14:28:
simonpa
What type? I have one of the silver-anodised non-Newton Caterham ones somewhere.
AndyD
I didn't realise there were different types, sorry. Mine is a Caterham one and says Newton Equipment on the back of the cap, so it sounds like yours is different. Thanks for the offer though. Tiny Tim
Is it carbs or injection? I think I have one from when I was on carbs. Tim
AndyD
Hi Tim. It's a Sigma 150, so injected. Sounds like yours won't help me? Cheers, Andy
AndyD
Thanks to those that replied. With no further replies in the past few days I'm guessing that people generally don't have the newer injection type filler caps gathering dust in the garage so have sourced a replacement from www.thinkauto.com. They are the main distributor for Newton Equipment in the UK and can sell parts instead of the whole assembly with filler neck so a cheaper solution for plonkers like me who leave their filler cap in the middle of the road for a couple of hours and don't need a new filler neck etc. Just note that Think Automotive only sell Newton filler caps unbranded so their items don't carry the Caterham logo. If you ever find yourself in need, give them a call and ask for Tino
