The SR's state

The Course is approximately 4438m long and consists of a smooth tarmac, surface with left and right hand corners and fast straight. Utilising the Long Sprint Circuit.

which is 2.75 miles so a double lapper me thinks.

An updated form is on competitors corner which asks for your email.

I have just spoken to the organisers and they have confirmed they layout that we will be using. Have a look at the circuit maps here.

The start is in the same place as last year where it says "pit lane/start" on the outer circuit map. The first lap is almost a complete lap of the outer circuit, but instead of turning right at Ushers you go straight on through Trubshaws, K7 and Carmen as shown on the Inner circuit map. You then carry on around but when you get to Ushers for the second time you turn right and over the finish which is on the corner exit like last year.

So it is a 2 lapper but each lap is different, so there is plenty of variety. It looks great fun to me.

Please get your entries in ASAP.

The final instructions have just landed in my inbox so you should all have them. Please let me know if you have entered but don't receive finals in the next day or so.

It looks like there are a healthy 31 L7C entries and only 42 entries overall so we can expect another busy day with lots of runs. Bring plenty of fuel 😬

Well done everyone.

Looks like those special brake pads worked Steff?

Looks like that damper service and upgrade worked Graham?

Certainly looks like Oli thinks his suspension makes him faster?

Alex If you give me a ring I can sort out some upgrades that ensure you will get the better of Joy next time 😬

Shaun very well done on your first FTD? (I think)

Excellent fun today, and the weather held which was good.

Chris, I got a time for T1 but it didn't show on the screen. The machine may have been confused by my rerun in P1 which resulted in my P2 showing as T1 before lunch, if you get my drift. On the other hand it may have just been an error, but my time showed on the paper copy. It was slower than T2 and 3 though so no matter. Thanks as always.

Hi Oli, your T1 time is not shown on the final scores, just checked against the master i've just been sent from the time keepers. As it does not effect the scores there is no need to worry.

Sorry Simon, but I really didn't get on with the brake pads. They had nothing until they got heat in which meant for the first lap the rear was locking first. I ended up swapping back to my old ones after the test day on Thurs, which were then not bedded in properly.

So, I can only conclude that crap brakes make for a fast lap...... sounds like it works for Shaun too ...... 😬
