Guest
2 pot AP racing calipers on the rear. Looking at fitting a cable actuated calipers to provide handbrake. Has anyone got experience -recommendations - I have not heard many positives in the past!

7 wonders of the world
Be aware that both of the above have smaller pistons than the Sierra calipers so worth checking your current set up for comparison - good weight saving with the Golf calipers though Westie's have also used these for a good while now as does the CSR, don't know why the S3 / SV haven't gone that way to ? JoeC
I've got a similar setup, AP 2 pots on big ventilated disks. I've got a fly off hydraulic handbrake which works fine for me. Just leave it in gear when you park.
jp7
Hi all, Does that mean that the golf MK4 calliper/CSR calliper will bolt straight into the calliper carrier thats already used on the S3 de dion rear end? Looking at it, the fluid entry and handbrake look about the right place. Has anyone got any pics of these fitted please. cheers Jon
myothercarsa2cv
jp7 - Rally Design apparently do one that is the Golf caliper with a Sierra spaced bracket, but you'd need to check. Kind of wish I'd looked at these when replacing my rears a few years back...
Mike Biddle
Do you want to keep your existing calipers? Hi Spec also do a separate cable operated handbrake caliper.
