Zetec Throttle linkage

Can Sombody help me!..........As the installation of my zetec nears completion I am now finding all the nasty Awkward things to do like the throttle linkage. I have twin 40 webers on a Dunnell inlet manifold and I have just got a single cable bottom linkage kit. Is it possible to fit this without modifying the inlet manifold and do i need the linkage to operate the carbs from the centre or can you do it from one end.

Thanks In advance for any help.

I am not sure on the specifics of your conversion, but IMO you MUST run the cable to the centre of the carbs.

The butterfly spindles are at risk of twisting if the cable operates them from one end only.

I guess that room is a bit tight underneath the carbs? Is there any room for a top mounted cable/linkage?

Don't, don't use the top mounted linkage under any circumstances. When I was looking for mine originally, I remember James Whiting telling me that it could ratchet up on the bonnet louvres leaving you with a w-i-i-i-i-i-de open throttle!

I had to remove the web between numbers 2 & 3 inlet on the manifold to allow the Weber lingage to fit. It really is very easy to do and won't give you any problems.
