FH
Isn't this a part of a new European Corrosion Test? Became law IIRC, last July - and a jolly fine way of boosting sales figures Mind you, it's been done before by certain far eastern companies............allegedly Cynique? Moi? tiptree
Hmmm. 2,800 "luxury" cars with a value of £30 million it says in all the newspaper reports. Insurance value I guess, without allowance for loss of profit or car tax, VAT etc. "Value" per car £10,700. Indeed! Tomorrow's a good day for it! Big Brother
I wonder how many were "personal" imports? Merry Christmas Steve Se7en-Up! Less is more!
CHRIS CLARK
Apart from what a great time could be had diving on a ship like that (see 'location'), I wonder which cars will fare the best from corrosion/lack of? If Fiat had had any cars on board they would have disintergrated by now anyway. Clamshell Club Founder Member.

masha
shame it wasn't a consignment of VWs they may have floated their way to the UK shores (oh, sorry that was the old beetle wans't it, not the new-fangled, front-engined thing that probably isn't air-tight like the old one). ChrisC
No new VW not air tight, not even water tight ChrisC... Other car was a Golf (Schwimmwagen) exchanged after 40 day repair failed to resolve a leak.

Graham Perry
I am hoping someone puts some photos of them on the net after that have recovered them. Just thinking along the line of 'I bet they didn't tie any of them down', So they probably all piled up nicely on the one side of the boat . Perhaps we should amend Chris Flavells 'ad' to include 'Some minor panel damage'
