He is upgrading to an expensive DSLR although he's only had it 9 months. It's an incredible camera, as new and with 50X optical zoom. Full spec. is on Amazon here They are still £319 on Amazon and there are many glowing reviews that Googling will bring up. I have the earlier model (SX40) and it's been a terrific camera. It's still a current model and offers a range of optical zooming that you'd have to spend a fortune on SLR lenses to match. Unfortunately he's not got the box or the manual (teenagers!) but it's in perfect condition and has all its accessories: 4Gb memory card, rechargeable battery, mains charger and an almost unused camera bag. I'm trying to get around £190 for him, including postage in the UK.
