myothercarsa2cv
Tough decision coming up - do I put them back in or not? What have you all done? I'm tempted to leave them out as I don't see their purpose other than dressing.

ChrisC
My car didn't have them fitted when I collected it, but after my first track day it was top of my car to do list. I don't know what but my knee rubbed on a bolt somewhere and was agony by the end of the day. Didn't have the problem once the knee panels where fitted. I suspect you might suffer my problem if you leave them off, but it depends on your size or leg length and SV or S3. Chris.
CharlesElliott
If they are for an imperial S3 and you don't want them, I'll take them 😬
myothercarsa2cv
Good point, ChrisC, I shall have to check that as I'm 6'3". If I'm ok, you're welcome to see if they can fit your car, Charles - it's metric, but how different can it be?
mav
Mine have been out for the last 5 years as I've not yet got around to the captive nut thing for quick swap from aero to wind screen.

Ian B
What happens in an accident? Is there anything near there that could cause you some damage if you moved a bit in the car or it was deformed?
mav
Knee panels wouldn't do much if it was that deformed Ian
Pierson
If I did move forward in an impact I'd be far more worried about losing my left patella on the ignition barrel....
