N Blandin
Has anyone opened up a Caterham 4 into 1 side exit pipe9bdr)? If I slice it open ,can I repack it and put the end back with a tab as on a bike pipe? I take it that the exit pipe just comes off of that end of the silencer so if I open it up the baffle is mounted from the front end of the silencer? I dont want to go to the expense of new pipe yet-I've got to pay Roger King yet
k.russell
nigel if your silencer is standard caterham it will be a fully welded system, that is, the perforated centre pipe is welded at both ends, this would need quite a lot of fabrication to make a tidy finished job. i recently cut open my jpe silencer to find the centre pipe had fractured completely in two halves, but because the silencer was fully welded there were no outwards indications of this . kevin russell
