AntonyH
Hi POBC, as above - what size / type of bolts are required for fixing a crutch strap to the two points behind the seat? Imperial SV if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance. Cheers! Edited by - AntonyH on 26 Dec 2013 13:24:
Birkin S3 ZA.
All belt mounting points are 7/16 UNF even on a Birkin but I could be wrong. My Schroth seat belts even came with spare ones. Some had a shank on them and are 10,9 grade. Chris. Edited by - Birkin S3 ZA. on 26 Dec 2013 14:34:
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted December 26, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted December 26, 2013 Yes, seat belt bolts are 7/16ths UNF, but rear tabs are not seat belt mounts. They are smaller (3/8ths UNF?) and actually used to mount old style seat runners, but are often used as lap strap mounts with some adaptation. As your car is an SV you may find it easier to use the same mounts as the lap belts with appropriate long bolts (it's a tight fit on an S3 -assume it's easier on an SV).
