To go along with my need for a cast iron crank I was also wondering If someone has a spare xflow conrod - 2177EB, with a good history please. If you do I would be interested in purchasing the same. If I had a choice I would be looking for a conrod that had not much of the balancing pads ground off.

What centre to centre length are these rods that you are after? I have some iron rods at 4.3 inches and 4.9 inches and some steel rods at 4.6 inches that I would like to sell.

In the past when I've needed a new rod, I've just popped round to Redlines with the old rod, even when it clearly looks like a goner, and exchanged it for new one for a rediculously small amount of money. Surely you should be able to do the same near where you live?

OK - so I have a set of 4.9 inch iron rods with Cosworth 12 point big end bolts. These are in very good condition having done 7000 miles only in a BDR engine in a roadgoing Caterham. Yours for £100 plus postage. I am in Aldershot Hants if you want to look at them or ring me on 07768 193244.
