Birkin S3 ZA.
Well after lots of hours swapping from my Zetec to my Duratec I can now say its running very well. Big improvement from my 4:1 to a 4:2:1 system, almost 290 hp and 8500 rpm 😬 Get to race it this weekend on our fastest track in East London. In the endurance we get to race against all different classes and some Porsches as well 😬 I will do some filming with my new Gopro and post some of the racing.

Rob Walker
290BHp is impressive stuff from a 2L. Whats the spec of the engine and how much is due to the 421 exhaust as this type of exhaust primaries tend to boost torque in the mid range as a trade off in head line power. Rob
Guest
That's good news! I look forward to seeing the videos.  I hope to be able to post something similar early next year. Edited by - Peter De La Mare on 10 Dec 2013 13:05:
Birkin S3 ZA.
Rob, I must admit I think his dyno is over reading a bit the motor is not the highest spec but others have complained it under reads when there car is run I bought cams 310 deg and the 54mm tb from Ammo at Raceco, I got the later spec head that's better and ported it myself and kept the standard size valves but did quite a bit of work on them. It has Wossner 12,5:1 pistons 0,8mm squish and PEC steel rods, aluminium under drive pulleys and Raceline dry sump with light flywheel.  The crank was nitride hardened and all balanced, The guy who tunes it said its the most powerful 2,0 na motor he has seen, even better than a Honda 2,4 with lots of fancy parts on it from the states.  When I get chance I will fit the bigger valves next year so I might se a bit more yet. ECR
Judging by the diameter of that silencer you don't seem to have the noise problems that affect Europe .....
