Guest
Back to the original plot, thanks to Surreptitious and Elie Boone, I ordered wiper blades from Westfield (yes I know) and the 8" stainless ones from Car Builder Solutions to try out. Both just about fit a S3 windscreen and both types fit the standard Caterham wiper arm. I'd say the stainless ones are probably better quality and these are on the car now but it will probably be next year before I get caught out in rain and give them a proper test. I'll try to remember to post my findings.
Stationary M25 Traveller
Mr IanW ... ... you are a star 😶🌫️ I now have a single wipe by spring-loaded flick switch. No smoke escaped from the wiring or dash. Brilliant. Thanks also to Elie.

Ian B
On a quick glance I can't see that you'd need the relay. The wipers should run once and autopark if you momentarily connect the 12v and "Slow" (or "Fast") together via a spring loaded toggle or pushbutton. Stationary M25 Traveller
I did try that originally and kept popping fuses !
Ian B
Yes it would, but if you use a SPCO switch to break the park link at the same time then itI reckon it would be fine
Guest
My wiper blades look a bit tatty - I suspect this is how they look from new. Has anyone found a reliable source of good blades? My usual supplier of blades for other vehicles doesn't stock blades for sevens. Thanks
Stationary M25 Traveller
I get mine from those nice chaps at Redline Components
glasgow
When I bought a new pair last year I was not happy with them. However for some reasons I thought I would swap over the driver's/passenger's side. Don't ask me to explain but I noticed a big difference and I'm happy with them now Ahmed
