1in7
Has anyone got a cure for a vibrating headlight at idle. The nearside headlight tends to vibrates quite a lot and so the light flickers quite severely, but only at idle. The offside is fine. Ive tightened up the bolt directly under the headlight and even loosened it as tightening didn’t seem to improve it. Any ideas or is it normal due to the location of the K series engine to the light? 7gineer
Often the bezel that holds the glass unit in place - in which case blu tack works well but may take several attempts

Paul McKenzie
Probably resonance-just change your idle speed
John Vine
This may not apply to your chassis, but check that the pointy grub screw that clamps the headlamp bracket onto the top chassis rail is really tight. JV
Bricol
Check the rivets holding the bowl to the lower bits are still tight and holding - if they are loose, that'll make the bowl wibrate more than it usually will - you might have to replace a couple of them with nuts and bolts or temporaily push some epoxy or similar between the parts to tighten the gap. 1in7
Thanks Guys SM25T. Engine mounts?! – that’s a scary thought. But being new to the fold I guess that should be a regular check anyway? sforshaw the year is 2007. Paul McK. It definitively disappears with slightly higher revs. What’s the idle rev range? Any ideas? John. I ll double check that end of things Bricol. It is the whole unit that’s vibrating so does appear to be that but thanks. That’s given me some pointers though thank you. 1in7
