Ltd Edition 1.4SS Roadsport

Since buying a flat (which doesn't have a garage), I'm struggling to justify keeping my Seven (stored 26 miles away). As such, I'm contemplating selling him.

This car is totally mint. It's a 1.4SS (128bhp) with the 6spd box and was no.6 of 30 out of a limited edition of 1.4 Roadsports released by the factory. As discussed previously on Blatchat, this is probably the best Seven for the road that you can buy. The 1.4SS engine and 6spd box are a great combination.

It's on an N-plate (N70 CAT) and is in dark metallic blue. Was built by Ratrace to a very high standard.

Kit includes:-

Carbon front wings, dash, mirrors and rear protectors

Leather S-types with headrests

Removeable Momo wheel

Limited edition anthracite split rim alloys (Yoko AO51R's with loads of tread)

Full weather kit and heated windscreen (but never been out in the rain)

Wind deflectors

4 point harnesses

Car cover

Like I said above, this car is in exceptional condition and is a particularly nice looking car. It's never been tracked (just couldn't justify the cost) and has covered only 9800 miles.

Regularly serviced by our local specialist and a particularly quick car (measured against the other 7's in the local area)

No idea what to ask on price but seeing as I'm in no rush to sell, I'm asking £13k (based on condition and spec).

Phone on 0191 239 9545 or 07931 338278 for details. I'm based in Newcastle, though the car's up in Northumberland

Yes - I think you are about right on the price. I bought mine earlier yhis year (no 25) privately. It was a 1997 (R reg) with 3.5k on the clock. I paid more than you are asking. The guy I bought it off had bought it from a dealer in feb and paid in excess of £15k. I also checked the value with Caterham (who had one for sale) and they said the price was about right for a private sale.

Good luck selling it.

Thanks Petrolhead,

Like I said, I'm kind of torn as to selling it or not. I love the car but am struggling to justify keeping it when I have to store it at my parents, resulting in a 52 mile round trip for a blat. And having bought a flat in a ridiculously expensive area, I can't afford the cost of a garage nearby.

But then, I don't know what I would buy instead. The Elise just doesn't do it for me and any other hot-hatch or the like would just be sacrilege. So thinking of building a garage in my yard and saving up for another Seven.

But all ideas at the moment

Afraid that I don't have any digital pictures. The colour isn't too dissimilar from the Renault Sport Blue (v dark metallic) and the front wings are bare carbon. It looks very classy.

Just been home to charge the battery - he is a lovely looking car.
