Gavinsmithartist Posted September 29, 2013 Share Posted September 29, 2013 whilst out enjoying the sunshine today, our K1.6 has started to idle at about 1800 rpm. If i jab the throttle, the revs settle at just below 1000. As soon as the car is revved in gear (moving/under load) it settles back at 1800. I've checked all the mechanical connections and WD40 to all linkages and it looks like it is back on the stops at either revs? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stationary M25 Traveller Posted September 29, 2013 Share Posted September 29, 2013 Take the air filter off and make sure the butterfly is seating closed .... not fouling on any crud holding it just open. Try the throttle position reset. Ignition on (but don't start engine), throttle to floor and completely released 5 times then ignition off.
