pmobbs
Does anyone know the size and thread on the hole just in front of the roll bar just behind the back edge of the doors? I think it is for mounting part of a roll cage. It looks good for where I want to mount an sma socket. The chassis is a 2011 SV. My guess is 11mm because 10 is too small and 12 is too big but want to be sure. Thanks.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 12, 2013 Leadership Team Share Posted September 12, 2013 Do you mean the seat belt mounting hole? If so I think it should be 7/16" UNF, even on a metric chassis. I stand to be corrected though .... Stu.
pmobbs
Thanks. Not used by my 4 point harness but guess it could be for standard belts....7/16ths would be about right size. I'll pick up a bolt and try it.
The Pikey
I didn't use the treads in the chassis, I put a M10 bolt though the hole and a half nut on the inside with a plastic cap on it. Very neat and just as secure as using the thread in the hole IMO J
Drumster
I agree with Stu, 7/16". Worth getting a tap to to clean it out though....
