Will be a sad day to see it go but this is meant to be the family classic.

 

My eldest can no longer sit comfortably in the back and I am now looking at a 4 door classic instead.

 

Preference to replace it at the moment is a nice Jaguar Mark 2 3.4 or 3.8 MOD.

 

Love Porsches but deep down have always been a classic Jaguar fan. All brought on following trips to see the Silk Cut Jaguars at Le Mans, watching Frank Sytner drifting Sir Anthony Bamford's D-Type around Woodcote as a boy.....

 

That said, the SLR will always be around.

I'm sure you'll sell that with a good low mileage for year. I can sympathise as I parted with my 993 Carrera 4S this year after 10 years of being afraid to leave it anywhere and hardly using it (lovely cars though), and I did replace mine with the Duratec R500 and am enjoying that lot more at the moment (and fits in the garage a bit neater than the old wide-bodied 911). Have had a couple of calls already and emailing a guy in Cheshire with some more detailed info.

 

Hopefully will be able to organise a few viewings this weekend.
