Tony Whitley
Usually the brake light switch (TADTS) which is inside the pedal box cover. That's under the bonnet If you're feeling adventurous take it apart and clean the contacts.
The Pikey
I also agree it's most likely to be a faulty switch. Mine failed a few weeks ago and I took it apart cleaned it up and it lasted a week until it went again. I then bought one of these from seven speed. It's much better than the original CC part and a drop in replacement. Once the pedal box cover was off took 60 seconds to fit. Jason

sjmmarsh
I can vouch for the seven speed replacement. Ever since I bought one, the CC original switch has not failed! Steve
Member Jonathan Kay Posted September 4, 2013 Member Share Posted September 4, 2013 Brake light switch discussed here: brilliant advice on the importance of the plastic bag. Do check that they work when the switch is shorted before assuming that's the problem. Jonathan
