Nigel Meylan Posted September 3, 2013 Share Posted September 3, 2013 The temperature gauge on my 1.6l Vauxhall 8V Super Seven has stopped working. A new sender was fitted only a few months ago, and the fan still kicks in when I'm stuck in traffic. What do you think guys ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted September 3, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted September 3, 2013 Take the wire off the sender and put it to earth with the ignition switched on. If gauge goes all the way across then gauge is OK and it's a sender problem. Senders do appear to be more problematic than gauges,. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
