N1ck
Trying to remove one of these (3mm) but has now rounded off. Hole still too small for a 3.5 or 4mm key to fit. Anyone any ideas? Thanks, Nick
Stationary M25 Traveller
Have sometimes got away with hammering a TorX bit into the socket and unscrewing it with that. Have you applied some PlusGas to the thread ? Is the outside of the bolt head accessible and suitably shaped to get mole grips on it ?
Jonathan Kay
Mole grips (as above) Cut a slot into the head with a Dremel or similar and use a straight screwdriver to unscrew Jonathan
michaelw
+1 for the TorX bit, normally works well. Michael.
revilla
If you have access to the nut on the back, you could try a nut splitter or cut it away with a dremel. Both approaches were required/successful for me on corroded cycle wing bolts when the Allen keys rounded them out.
