jelley1970
Hi all, Just picked up an R500 Duratec, driving back today, the car was running at a water Temp of around 90, which I though was a little high, but its hot out there, but when I was in traffic it was creeping up to 104/05 which put the willys up me to say the least... Is this normal running temps? I appreciate its a very hot day. Ive come from a K series so the Duratec is all new to me. Cheers Russ
Jonathan Kay
What was the indicated temperature when the fan came on? Jonathan
jelley1970
I couldn't hear if the fan was kicking in as I had a crash hat on, was going to test later that the fan is actually cutting in. Do the temps i've quoted seem high?
Jason Plato
normal for the duratec
Michael H
My Duratec 175 runs steady at 85 degrees regardless of whether I'm in traffic or on the move. It didn't even get much hotter at the Brands track evening 2 weeks ago... Mike
tbird
In hot weather and in traffic the CSR regularly hits 105c fan cuts in around then give or take and drops it back to 85-90 , had a chat with CCM and they said perfectly normal for Duratec , still makes me wince but I am assured its normal .
