Garth
Picked up my 7 from CC Dartford today after having new uprated master cylinder, 4 pot calipers on the front and new pads on the back fitted. All looks good but the brakes feel no different to how they felt with the standard brakes! Will they take time to bed in or is it possible they have not been bled properly? Everything I have read on blatchat suggests that there is far less pedal travel with the uprated master cylinder!?
Stationary M25 Traveller
They will need to bed in for 100-200 miles. If not bled, the pedal would be spongy, but firm up if pumped.
Roger Ford
Won't four-pots need more fluid? So perhaps uprated cylinder + four pots = same travel as std cylinder and std calipers?
Garth
Will try pumping - thanks
Stationary M25 Traveller
If that improves it .... you (or CC !) need to bleed properly to remove the air. IME they are not very good at it !
