AntR
Hi All, I have a 2006 K-Series which will be due an MOT soon. The exhaust system on this is the race system: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=199 Has anyone here fitted a cat into this system for MOT? Alternatively has anyone had a Powerspeed cat/silencer made up to fit this? Would be interested in pics if you've had this done. Cheers Anton
Rob Walker
Suggest you find an MOT station that understands our needs, hope you get my drift.
Ian Mackenzie
Hi there I've got the same system, but I changed to the old system for the MOT with the CAT. I went to my MOT station and we looked at any potential loop-holes, here is a copy of the manual which gives very little flexibility: http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/Emissions%2017th%20Edition.pdf you'll see the emissions by Caterham chassis / engine numbers. At one point I'll fit the CAT exhaust to the race manifold. I'll need to weld a reducer and a link pipe in and it should work. Regards Ian
elie boone
I have a silencer with cat cut off from a K series, i also have a 2" connection to weld to it, i dont have the rear exit part. This system would make it easy to swap for MOT. Let me know if you need it.
