busa gearchange update

so last night I finally had chance to look into why I couldn't downshift and struggled to up shift at combe at the weekend...

 

Nothing immediate was obviously wrong, there was play in the gear lever mechanism so with a bit of struggle I managed to nip that up again, thank god for flexi head ratchet spanners , the rest of the push rods all looked ok, however it appears the bell crank is bent somewhat, not sure if has always been that way

 

so after a shake down drive, I know have an up shift and down shift that works, however no flat shift, I thought perhaps I had unconnected it whilst removing the tunnel cover but all in place, so that is possible broken and will order a new one and see if that fixes it

 

but whatever I think it will be ok for at least Loton (got in both days ) even if I have to use the clutch on upshifts (how very old skoooool 😬)
