No doubt someone more "teccy" will be along soon but when I had mine fitted at Powerspeed, it was only the part of the alternator that has the wires coming from it that was moved. They took it off and as you say, they turned it 180 deg's. I think it sits too near to the first primary if not moved. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You will need to take the alternator off in order to Gain proper access PS disconnect the battery first of course!! Titanium7 Posted June 11, 2013 Share Posted June 11, 2013 I made a simple shaped heatshield out of some 22swg alluminium which bolts under the one of the manifold nuts and drops down and covers the sensitive area of the alternator.
