Tim Smith Posted November 24, 2002 Share Posted November 24, 2002 Anyone know how long the battery on my 1.6k will last with the immobiliser on? The car's been in the garage for the last 3 weeks without starting because of the crap weather and I'm starting to think the battery will go flat fairly soon. dino ferrana Posted November 24, 2002 Share Posted November 24, 2002 Yep turn the Isolator key off and your problem is kind of solved. The immobiliser will restart when you turn the key back on so you do not have a security issue. Dave McCulloch Posted November 25, 2002 Share Posted November 25, 2002 Buy a conditioner before you kill the battery - left mine a few times for over a month and the battery got so flat it refused to accept any charge - had to buy a new one, and was recommended to buy a conditioner at the same time (only about £40 from Caterham) - been fine ever since, Dave Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
